Profy, a new player in the blogging arena, provides users with a one-stop web platform for all things blogging. The Profy solution provides a single point of comprehensive access to the full range of activities involved in blogging, from reading and sharing news to publishing posts and networking with other bloggers and readers. Profy's vision is to provide bloggers with all the creative tools they could possibly want - in one place.
Profy is a San Francisco-based company headed by Russian internet entrepreneur Ilya Korsun. The development team works out of Novosibirsk, Russia.
The Profy platform has been in development since September 2006 and currently is in the private alpha testing stage. Bloggers interested in joining the testing program can request an invitation at http://beta.profy.com/getinvite. Or you can first watch Profy video demo:

Profy in the press
Erick Schonfeld, TechCrunch - January 9, 2008
Right now, blogs are already social in that any reader can leave a comment on a post. But imagine if you could search for any blogger or commenter and send that person a private message, or check out that person's public feed to see what they are reading. It seems like a natural evolution, bringing the worlds of blogging and social networking closer together.
Josh Lowensohn, Webware - January 11, 2008
Besides having a fairly standard WYSIWYG blogging interface, and integrated RSS feed reader, the real draw to the app is its interconnected social network. What I can say after spending some time testing out its features is that it's off to a good start.
Josh Lowensohn, Webware - April 29, 2008
It really is worth a look if only for the alternate interface to post a blog entry to your Blogger.com page. I find Profy's editor to be a little easier to use, as it scales to the size of your monitor and offers a slightly snappier experience.
Allen Stern, CenterNetworks - January 9, 2008
It is cleaner than say Wordpress and the dashboard is easier to manage as each part of the blog (comments, posts, messages and feeds) shows up and you can take action on any item directly.
Allen Stern, CenterNetworks - April 26, 2008
Profy sits in the middle between using Blogger and creating your own blog. There's a powerful RSS reader, startpage and a variety of blogging tools to make the blogging process more advanced than what Blogger can offer. Since it was built by bloggers for bloggers, it should help to cure some of the pain points of using other blogging tools.
Eliane Fiolet, Ubergizmo- April 23, 2008
The blogging process - news reading, writing and publishing, managing comments, communication with readers and other bloggers - is made easier with the Ajax based Profy tools.
Louis Gray, louisgray.com - April 24, 2008
The service could be very compelling to both established bloggers and new ones looking for a simplified platform to get started. For a beta product, Profy has done a solid job in introducing a lot of good functionality not usually found even in some of the more established feed readers, or blogging platforms.
Triston McIntyre, TECH.BLORGE - April 24, 2008
Profy, prominent entity on Web 2.0, is hoping to ease the tedious load of painful blogging by giving users a completely innovative and intuitive new platform for achieving blogging zen.
